Shirhan Sharif Tamal, son of former land minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif and a fugitive named in a case related to the attack on members of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, has been arrested in the Ishwardi area of Pabna.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-12 sources confirmed the matter.

Shamsur Rahman Sherif was a Awami League politician who served as land minister from 2014 to 2019. He was a five-time member of parliament representing the Pabna-4 constituency.
