6 killed in microbus-CNG collision in Sirajganj
The collision occurred between the two vehicles on Sirajgamj-Nalka regional highway around 12pm
Six people, including two brothers of two families each, were killed and three people injured in a collision between a microbus and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Kamarkhand upazila in Sirajganj district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as autorickshaw driver Rashedul Islam, 22 of Raiganj upazila; Nuruzzaman, 52 and Tareq Rahman, 55, sons of Ramnaj Ali of Tarash Upazila's Vatra village; two brothers Rezaul Karim, 60 and Abdul Majid, 50, of the same village and Jahangir Alam, 56, son of late Mohiuddin of the same village.
The collision occurred between the two vehicles on Sirajgamj-Nalka regional highway around 12pm, leaving two passengers of the autorickshaw dead on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge of Kamarkhand police station Rezaul Karim.
The injured were rushed to M Mansur Ali Medical College Hospital where four people died, he added.
