Awami League leader dies of Covid-19 in Cumilla
The leaders and activists of Cumilla South Awami League mourned his death
Cumilla South Awami League vice president principal Alkasur Rahman has died from coronavirus infection on Monday.
Alkasur Rahman, also a freedom fighter, breathed his last at the Cumilla Medical College Hospital, said Abdul Karim Majumder, joint secretary of the Cumilla South Awami League.
The leaders and activists of Cumilla South Awami League mourned his death and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
Bangladesh today confirmed 38 more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 3,099 new cases of infection after testing15,038 samples in the last 24 hours.
With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rose to 1,209 and 90,619 people are infected across the country.
