34 more districts get new DCs
The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in 34 more districts of the country.
The Field Administration-2 branch of the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard today (10 September).
These appointments will be effective immediately, said the notice.
Earlier yesterday (9 September), new DCs were appointed in 25 districts.
With today's appointments, new DCs have been appointed in 59 districts in two days.
Following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government on 5 August due to a student and public uprising, the interim government took over on 8 August.
After taking charge, the interim government initiated major changes in public administration.
