Rivalry kills two ARSA commanders in Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camp
The deceased have been identified as- Imam Hossain, 37, son of Abul Kalam of Block M-25 and Rahmat Ullah, 25, son of Gani Miah from block B-6 at Rohingya Camp No-4
Two commanders of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) were killed and another Rohingya was injured in a shooting incident over establishing supremacy at a Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar's Ukhiya upazila early today (11 September).
The incident happened in the area adjacent to Markaz Mosque in Block- M25 at Rohingya Camp-20 in Ukhiya, according to Additional Deputy Inspector general of Armed Police Battalion-14 Mohammad Iqbal.
The deceased have been identified as- Imam Hossain, 37, son of Abul Kalam of Block M-25 and Rahmat Ullah, 25, son of Gani Miah from block B-6 at Rohingya Camp No-4.

Mohammad Abdullah, 31, son of Hamid Hossain from Block-M29 at Rohingya Camp No-20, was injured in the shooting.
Quoting the Rohingyas, Iqbal said, "Imam ad Rahmat along with some other ARSA members were present in the area adjacent to the mosque on early Wednesday, when some 20-30 men came from Camp No-18 and suddenly started to shoot at them. The shooters soon left the place, leaving Imam and Rahmat dead and Abdullah critically injured."
"Later, Rohingyas living in the camp took Abdullah to the nearby hospital. Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies of the deceased," Iqbal added.
Claiming that the deceased are members of ARSA, Iqbal also said that there are several cases against them over allegations of murder, extortion and kidnapping.
"we are assuming that the shooting happened over establishing supremacy in the camps. The bodies have been sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy," said Iqbal.
