Anti-state forces trying to deteriorate law and order situation by spreading extremism: RAB
The force also said they have continued “strict monitoring of those who have been released on bail to prevent them from re-engaging in militancy”
Some anti-state evil forces are trying to deteriorate the law-and-order situation in the country by spreading extremism recently, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said today (11 September).
"RAB is committed to identifying and taking strict legal action against the miscreants involved in extremism," a press statement issued by the force said.
Stating that Bangladesh is a country of peace and harmony, RAB said people of this country celebrate all festivals and events irrespective of caste-religion-race-party, all the people of the country peacefully observe all the festivals and events.
"RAB Director General has ordered all battalions to take strict legal action without giving any concession to militancy, extremism and evil forces destroying communal harmony," reads the press statement.
The force also said they have continued "strict monitoring of those who have been released on bail to prevent them from re-engaging in militancy".
"If anyone released on bail gets involved in any crime or terrorism activities without going back to normal life, they will be arrested and brought under the law by RAB forces. RAB will continue to maintain its 'zero tolerance' position in future as before to suppress militancy," the elite force added.
