AIUB Delegation Visits Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences
A delegation from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) visited Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany, on 9 September 2024, to explore potential academic collaborations. Led by Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, Founder Member of the Board of Trustees, AIUB, the delegation met with Prof. Dr. Matthias Vieth, Vice President for Studies, Teaching, and Student Affairs at Hochschule Darmstadt.
During the discussions, several key areas of collaboration were highlighted, including faculty and student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, scholarships, guest lectures, and accommodation facilities for students. Both institutions expressed strong interest in expanding academic partnerships and addressing challenges such as visa delays faced by Bangladeshi students.
Hochschule Darmstadt confirmed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would soon be signed to formalise the partnership, which will focus on research and academic development. Prof. Dr. Vieth and other faculty members expressed enthusiasm for welcoming more students from AIUB and strengthening ties between the two universities.

The AIUB delegation also toured the laboratories and classrooms of Hochschule Darmstadt, accompanied by senior faculty members, who shared their commitment to future collaboration. This visit marks a significant step towards enhancing opportunities for students and faculty members through international cooperation between the two institutions.
