Memorial meeting for martyrs of student movement postponed: Adviser Nahid

The memorial meeting for the martyrs of the recent student-led uprising has been postponed, as the full list of the deceased is yet to be finalised, Information and Broadcasting Ministry Adviser Nahid Islam said today (12 September).
During a press conference held at the ministry's conference room, Nahid Islam explained that the Ministry of Health is still preparing the list of casualties from the movement.
"So far, reports indicate that 728 individuals have been killed and 20,263 injured, but the death toll may be slightly higher. As the final list is not ready yet, we have decided to postpone the memorial meeting stated for 14 September," he stated.
