Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday (14 September) arrested former public administration minister Farhad Hossain from the capital's Eskaton area.
A team of RAB-2 arrested him and later handed him over to Adabor Police Station, RAB Legal and Media Wing Assistant Director ANM Emran Khan told The Business Standard.
Adabor Police Station Officer-in-Charge Imtiaz Bhuiyan said Farhad was arrested in connection with a case filed with the police station over shooting and killing students and the general public on 5 August during the anti-discrimination student movement.
Farhad served as state minister for public administration from January 2019 to January 2024 and later as minister of public administration from January 2024 to August 2024.
