Publish pictures, videos of torture done on AL during student protests: Party to members
The party also asked its leaders and workers to inform the public of the attacks on the offices of the party and its associate organisations in every metropolis, district, upazila, union, and ward, as well as the damages caused by the vandalism.
The Awami League has asked its members to publish photos and videos of attacks, looting, and vandalism affecting their party members during the nationwide protests from the end of July to early August.
In a Facebook post, the party, which was toppled by a student-led mass uprising on 5 August, also directed its leaders and activists to gain the trust and sympathy of the people by highlighting the "torture the party members have gone through" in recent times.
The party also asked the leaders and activists not to fall for any kind of provocation or incitement through social media.
"The first step is to stand by the grassroots. Contact Awami League's official email [[email protected]] for information," the party said in the post published on the night of 14 September on its verified Facebook profile.
"Publish pictures and videos of attacks, vandalism, looting, and murders on Twitter [X], Facebook, and YouTube from the end of July to the beginning of August across the country."
The Awami League also asked its leaders and workers to inform the public of the attacks on the offices of the party and its associate organisations in every metropolis, district, upazila, union, and ward, as well as the damages caused by the vandalism.
"We need to earn the people's trust. Don't be misled by any kind of provocative posts or fake messages," the post said.
The party said it would urge the government to ensure that justice is served to the attackers and that the victims are compensated.
