Charmonai Pir for building discrimination-free state with ideals of Islam
It is not possible to build a discrimination-free state without the noble ideals of Islam and Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as well, Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Amir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim said today (17 September).
"Country's citizens must need to reform themselves prior to reforming the state . . . And without the ideals of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), personal reformation is not possible," he said while speaking at a conference organised by Islami Jubo Andolan Bangladesh (IJAB), an associated body of IAB, at Jatiya Press Club.
The IAB Amir said there is no alternative to cultivating people with strong moral values and principle aiming at building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh.
"If people return to path of the Holy Quran, Bangladesh will be a discrimination-free and safe country to live in . . . The people of the country will be able to lead a smooth life with security of life and property," Mufti Rezaul Karim observed.
Dhaka South City President of IJAB Maulana Muhammad Al-Amin Sohag, Secretary General Mufti Manur Ahmed Saki, Agriculture and Labor Affairs Secretary Abdur Rahman and Jatiya Ulema Mashaikh Aimma Parishad General Secretary Mufti Rezaul Karim Abrar spoke on the occasion, among others.
