Golam Dastagir placed on 5-day remand
A Narayanganj court today (18 September) granted five-day police remand to interrogate former minister Golam Dastagir Gazi in Parvez murder case lodged with Fatulla Police Station.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Haider Ali passed the order after police produced the former minister before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court with a 10-day remand prayer.
Md Sohrab Hossain, father of Parvez Hossain, 23, filed the case with Fatullal Model Thana on 22 August, accusing 178 people.
Gazi, who was arrested from his Shantinagar residence by DB police on 24 August, was shown arrested in Parvez murder case.
Earlier, he was 'shown arrested' in three other murder cases, one with Rupganj Police Station and two others with Araihajar Police Station.
Other accused of the case are ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and former MP Shamaim Osman.
Parvez Hossain was shot dead by police at Bhuigar area under Fatulla Thana during the anti-discrimination movement on 19 July.
Roman, a Class-10 student, was shot dead by police on 19 July in front Chonpara slum of Narayanganj town.
