CAAB chairman calls on civil aviation, tourism secretary

Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Air-Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan today (23 September) paid a courtesy call on Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Nasreen Jahan at the latter's office in Dhaka.
During the meeting, CAAB Chairman apprised the secretary of various ongoing activities and development projects of CAAB, including the construction works of the 3rd terminal, manpower, airport security and improvement of the overall service of the airport, reads a press release.
Besides, Chairman Monjur also informed the secretary about the successful implementation of the 'Silent Area' program announced at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and its adjacent areas on 1 October and the activities taken to stop the usage of single-use plastic.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Secretary expressed her satisfaction with the overall activities of CAAB and assured them of providing all-out cooperation to complete the ongoing projects quickly.
The officials of the ministry concerned and CAAB were present on the occasion.
