Mamunur Rashid returns to direct TV drama after 25 years
Veteran actor Mamunur Rashid, known for his extensive career in Bangladeshi cinema and television since the 1970s, is back in the director's chair after 25 years. He is directing a new TV drama series titled 'Choron Chuye Jai', for which he also wrote the script.
The actor has already completed shooting 30 episodes, and the series is set to air on Channel i. The drama revolves around the life and events surrounding a school.
Mamunur Rashid shared that he not only directed the series but also played a central character. "In every project, I try to depict people's lives, values, and societal elements, and this drama is no different," he said.
Rashid previously directed Bangladesh's first package drama series 'Shilpi' and other popular shows like 'Shundori' and 'Danob'. He has received numerous accolades, including the National Film Award for his contributions to acting.
