Another Bangla song featured by FIFA
After Chirkut's 'Jadoor Shohor', yet another Bangla song has been featured by FIFA in a video. This time around it was AvoidRafa's 'Ami Akash Pathabo' that made the buzz. The song was originally released back in 2015 and was made for the popular miniseries collective, CloseUp Kache Ashar Golpo.
It was also the song that significantly boosted the frontman of the band, Raef Al Hasan Rafa, as an artist. The song is still widely popular and heavily cherished by everyone. 'Ami Akash Pathabo' is still one of the most demanded songs in any concert that features Avoidrafa.
The video shows the Brazilian football icon Ronaldo scoring a few of his brilliant goals as the song graciously played in the background.
"Our song is now officially on FIFA's channel! A proud moment for us as a Bangladeshi band. This is for Bangladesh!" said the band's official Facebook page.
Rafa also expressed his gratitude to the occasion saying, "This is such a nice thing to wake up to. Thanks FIFA. This means a lot to me. And also, Ronaldoooooooooo."
The lyricist of the song, Shafayet Mansoor spoke to TBS as well, stating that despite being an Argentina fan, he was overwhelmed that a song written by him is now being viewed by millions across the world.
