Streamer Valkyrae launches anime-focused media company
YouTube streamer Rachell Hofstetter, also known as Valkyrae, recently launched her own media company, Hihi Studios, which will focus on developing anime-inspired content for graphic novels, TV, and film.
The studio's first project, in partnership with GlobalComix, will be co-published and distributed both physically and digitally. The media company aims to create immersive storytelling experiences that reflect modern society.
In an interview with Variety, the streamer gave insight on what the audience can expect.
"We want to create and launch narratives that I can see myself being a fan of independently," shared Hofstetter.
She continues, "Ultimately, I feel the greatest stories are the ones that can tap into the universal experiences of discovering who we are as human beings."
Hofstetter founded the studio alongside her manager, Kai Gayoso.
