The bulk of the damage was done by Taskin Ahmed though who took three wickets, including that of overnight centurion Ravichandran Ashwin.
Ashwin top-scored with a 113-run innings and was ably partnered by Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 86 before being dismissed by Taskin.
Mahmud finished with figures of 5-83 in 22.2 overs while Taskin ended with 3-55 in 21 overs and they were the most impressive bowlers for the Tigers.
