In addition to his century, Mushfiq also achieved another significant career milestone during this innings. He became only the second Bangladeshi batsman to surpass 15,000 runs in international cricket, joining Tamim Iqbal in this elite club. Earlier in the innings, he had brought up his 28th Test fifty, further cementing his status as one of Bangladesh's all-time greats.
Mushfiq's contributions have been crucial to Bangladesh's standing in international cricket for over a decade. With more than 5,700 runs in Test cricket, over 7,300 in ODIs, and around 1,500 in T20Is, his consistency and resilience have been pivotal to the team's success.
