JBL Tour Pro 3: Ultimate feature-packed wireless earbuds
JBL has introduced its latest wireless earbuds, the Tour Pro 3, packed with advanced features. Priced at $300, these earbuds build on the success of their predecessors, offering even more functionality.
The earbuds are going to be available from 22 September, according to Digital Trends.
The Tour Pro 3 looks physically similar to the previous model but features a smaller case with a 30% larger touchscreen. This case can also be used as a retransmitter for both analogue and digital audio, allowing users to connect to computers, smartphones, and even in-flight entertainment systems.
Notably, the earbuds can bypass Bluetooth, using a proprietary 2.4GHz connection with the LC3+ codec for a more stable and low-latency experience, ideal for gaming, calls, and music.
The earbuds are also IP55 rated for dust and water resistance, making them durable for everyday use.
Inside, they feature a new dual-driver system with an 11mm dynamic driver for bass and a balanced armature driver for higher frequencies, each paired with its own digital-to-analogue (DAC). This setup ensures rich, high-quality sound.
Additionally, the Tour Pro 3 supports Sony's hi-res audio LDAC Bluetooth codec and offers spatial audio with head-tracking, enhancing the listening experience. JBL has also improved call quality with the "JBL Crystal AI" algorithm, ensuring clear communication even in noisy environments.
Finally, the Tour Pro 3 includes Auracast, allowing users to broadcast audio to others within Bluetooth range, making it easy to share content.
