A year of toils and exhilaration for tbsnews.net
It was a year ago on August 21 that The Business Standard started its journey on the web. It was a very modest start with hardly any readership, as it happens with any new website.
In the last 12 months we have grown tremendously, thanks to all who regularly click on our site. And thanks to our team of journalists who have relentlessly worked, sometimes deep into the night, to break news.
This past one year was an exhilarating experience in journalism for us. The appearance of the coronavirus has made our task even more challenging. Many of our colleagues had fallen sick. But strangely, their output has increased many fold. Their minds bubbled with ideas and we have turned those ideas into stories, for you.

August 21 is a sad day in our history. A day of gruesome experience. We, therefore, do not and cannot celebrate that day as our anniversary. So, we have chosen the day after to say a huge thanks to our readers and our team members for being together in our journalistic journey that has definitely left a mark in the history of journalism in Bangladesh.
