Jail Killing Day: Why were four national leaders assassinated?
It was around 1:30 to 2:00 in the night. In the early hours of November 3, 1975, a pickup truck stopped in front of Dhaka Central Jail. According to eyewitness accounts, there were several soldiers in the vehicle. Dhaka was a city in turmoil at the time, with various rumours circulating about coups and counter-coups within the military.
