Bangladesh Coast Guard provides free medical services and essential medicines in St. Martin
On October 16, 2024, Lieutenant Commander Khondkar Munif Taki, the Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, announced that the Bangladesh Coast Guard has been dedicated to assisting underprivileged communities in coastal and island areas since its inception.
In line with this commitment, the Bangladesh Coast Guard ship Tajuddin conducted a medical campaign on St. Martin Island from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. During this initiative, free medical services and essential medicines were provided to 135 needy individuals, including children. The event was attended by Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Naeem Hasan from the AMC, who contributed to the healthcare efforts.
The Bangladesh Coast Guard remains steadfast in its mission to support vulnerable populations and improve healthcare access in remote areas.
